RUGBY 7s GALA DAY

It was a great day for Rugby in Walgett on Thursday 5th September with three teams from St Francis Xavier’s attending the Rugby 7’s Gala Day. Everyone brought their A-game to the field with each tackle, pass and try scored. It was great to watch our talented players put their skills on display in such a high-energy, tough competition.

Congratulations go to Mac Winston-Smith who was awarded the Year 3/4 Encouragement Award of the day!! 

Thank you to all the parents who got involved and helped coach, run warm up drills and cheer from the sidelines. Thank you also to St Joseph’s, Walgett for hosting the Gala Day and Mrs Creighton for attending with the students.

POLDING ATHLETICS

A huge congratulations to Callum O'Neill for his success at the Polding Athletics Championships last Friday. He competed in three events throughout the course of the day at the Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre. 

Callum placed 5th overall in the Junior Boys Long Jump and 10th in the 200m Junior Boys race. Callum also competed in the 9 Yrs Boys 100m dash and placed FIRST in the final!! 

Well done Callum!!

With the 100m finals available to be livestreamed, cheers of encouragement and excitement could be heard across the school as the student's supported their peer. 

TOUCH FOOTBALL GALA DAY

Good luck to the teams attending the Touch Football Gala Day in Narrabri tomorrow. 

POLDING CRICKET TRIALS

The Polding Cricket Trials will be held this Friday in Lismore. Good luck to Angus Irwin who is attending. 

ARMIDALE DIOCESAN GALA DAY

The Armidale Diocesan Gala Day is taking place on the last day of term, Thursday 26th September. Good luck to the student's competing in the soccer and netball competitions.
