Week 11, Term 1 2025

Principals Message

As we reach the end of Term 1, it’s hard to believe how quickly the weeks have flown by! It’s been a busy and exciting term, filled with learning, growth, and wonderful experiences for both students and staff.

This term has also brought a few changes to our Ridgeview whānau. We recently said a heartfelt goodbye to Daniel Kemball, who is moving on to a new opportunity at Ōtāhuhu Intermediate next term. We’ll miss him but are excited to hear how he continues to grow and shine in his new role.

We’re also farewelling Claire Gibbons as she heads off on maternity leave. We wish her all the best for this exciting next chapter and can’t wait to meet her little one when they arrive! In preparation for Term 2, we’re pleased to welcome Ms Paula, who is spending some time with us this week to get to know the students and staff before officially starting next term.

To celebrate the wonderful learning that has taken place this term, we’d love to invite all parents and caregivers to visit classrooms on Thursday from 12:30pm onwards. This is a great opportunity to see what your tamariki have been working on and to share in their achievements. If your child is leaving early after the learning showcase, please remember to sign them out at the office. Otherwise, school will finish at the usual time of 3:00pm.

A reminder that Friday is a Teacher Only Day. Our staff will be engaging in professional development focused on the refreshed Mathematics and English curriculum.

Thank you for all your support this term—we look forward to a positive and inspiring Term 2!

Ngā mihi,

Cassey Prentice
