Celebrating Our 100th Day of School: A Fabulous Time for Our Kindergarteners!

What a delightful day we had celebrating our 100th day of school in Kindergarten! Our festivities kicked off with a cozy gathering in the staffroom, where our “oldies” enjoyed a cuppa (hot Milo) and a pancake. As we sipped our tea, our grannies and grandpa’s discovered their alter egos and took on new, charming names like Thelma and Winfred Gordon.

The fun didn’t stop there! We danced the “Get Down Granny” dance, bringing lots of smiles and giggles to our classroom. Following our lively dance, we settled in for a story that sparked even more laughter and joy.

Next up was a creative and quiet moment as we crafted our self-portraits imagining ourselves as 100 years old. By this time, our tummies were rumbling, so we set the table for a delightful high tea. We enjoyed sandwiches, fairy bread, cupcakes, and lemonade, making the afternoon as tasty as it was fun!

After our scrumptious lunch, we got our bodies moving with 100 strength exercises, including push-ups, star jumps, sit-ups, and squats. We wrapped up the day with a sweet treat and a special assembly, capping off a truly memorable celebration.

A big thank you to all the parents for dressing your children in such fabulous costumes—our oldies looked absolutely wonderful! Your support made this milestone day extra special. Here’s to many more days of learning and fun in Kindergarten!
