PULSE Wellbeing Surveys

At St Patrick’s College, we are committed to supporting our students in all aspects of their educational journey. This includes not only fostering a strong academic foundation but also prioritizing their health and wellbeing.

Over the past two years, students have participated in a weekly wellbeing survey, known as "Wellbeing Wednesdays," conducted every Wednesday morning. This initiative enables students to reflect on and assess their personal and school experiences, allowing them to share their feelings and insights in a confidential and constructive manner.

The data gathered through these surveys provides invaluable insights, enabling us to tailor specific wellbeing strategies to better support each student. Furthermore, students have the opportunity to use the platform to express gratitude to their peers and teachers, recognizing the positive impact others have made on their lives.

At SPC, we remain dedicated to ensuring the overall wellbeing of our students, creating an environment where they can thrive both academically and personally.

Below is a snapshot of the whole school, which for the most part is assessing their time at SPC as a positive one.

If parents would like any further information on the PULSE surveys or wellbeing programs at St Patrick’s College, please feel free to contact Jarrett Giampaolo.

Pastoral Care

Our pastoral care program is progressing well and all year levels will soon begin or continue their engagement with the Respectful Relationships Program. This initiative, developed by the Victorian Government, has been implemented in hundreds of schools and is underpinned by rigorous research. The program is designed to equip our students with vital skills in fostering respect for others, developing emotional and mental resilience, and becoming positive, responsible individuals.

This week, our entire Year 11 cohort participated in the Men of Honour Program, which was highly regarded by both students and staff. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many highlighting the program's insightful, engaging, and rewarding nature. I would like to thank the Year 11 homeroom teachers and coordinators for their dedication in supporting this important initiative. Moving forward, homeroom teachers will continue to deliver follow-up sessions that build on the key themes discussed during the day.

Student Congress

I am pleased to announce the composition of our Student Congress for 2025, which was revealed during a recent assembly. I had the privilege of meeting with the students and their respective Heads of House this week, and I am already impressed by the initiatives some students are eager to introduce within the College. This group of young men is deeply committed to making a positive difference at St. Patrick's College and is excited to build upon their leadership skills to contribute to our community, both now and in the future.
