St Justin's Parish Church
Week 3 Lent - Sunday 8th March
Sunday's Gospel - Adaption from John 4:5-42
Jesus was tired from walking and sat down by a well to rest.
A woman came to get water, and Jesus asked her for a drink.
She was surprised – no one usually talked to her – but Jesus was very kind and very gentle.
Jesus said, “I can give you living water.”
This isn’t water you drink – it is God’s love, which never runs out.
The woman realised at that moment that Jesus knew her,
cared about her, and loved her just as she was.
She was so happy that she ran to tell others, “Come and meet Jesus!”
Gospel Reflection
Jesus meets a woman at a well. He talks to her kindly and listens to her.
This is important because it shows us that Jesus cares about everyone.
No one is invisible to Jesus, and no one is ever forgotten by God.
Jesus talks about giving living water.
This living water is not the kind that comes from a tap or a drink bottle.
It is God’s love.
God’s love fills our hearts and helps us feel strong, safe, and happy inside.
And the amazingthing is –God’s love never runs out.
