St Patrick's Day Mass

On Friday, 19 March, Miss Lamanna and I had the wonderful opportunity to accompany our School Captains and Religious Education Leaders to the Mass of St Patrick for Schools at St Patrick’s Cathedral. We made our way into the city by train, enjoying the excitement and camaraderie of the journey together.

The Mass itself was a truly beautiful experience. Being in the stunning St Patrick’s Cathedral, surrounded by students and staff from across Melbourne, provided a wonderful sense of community and celebration of our faith. The prayers, hymns, and reflections offered a meaningful way to honour St Patrick and reflect on the values that unite our school community.

At the conclusion of the Mass, we participated in drone photography, a unique way to capture the gathering of so many young people celebrating together. Afterward, we headed to the nearby park, where the day continued with vibrant activities. Live performances from school bands filled the air with music, and a variety of activity stations offered engaging experiences for all attendees. It was inspiring to see students from Melbourne’s Catholic primary and secondary schools come together in such a joyful and spirited celebration.

Overall, the day was not only an opportunity to celebrate St Patrick but also a chance to strengthen friendships, enjoy the talents of our peers, and reflect on the shared values of our Catholic community. It was a truly memorable experience for everyone involved.
