Sports News

Last Thursday, our Grade 4–6 students participated in Part 1 of our Athletics Trials. Students competed in the 100m sprints, hurdles, and long-distance events, showing great determination, resilience, and sportsmanship throughout the day.
Next Thursday, students will complete Part 2 of the trials, which will focus on field events.
From these events, qualifying students will go on to represent our school at the Colac Division Athletics on 20th March at Central Reserve.
You may notice that the format of our trials looks a little different this year. This change has been made as Central Reserve is currently being utilised by our wonderful firefighters. We appreciate the community effort and thank everyone for their flexibility.
We would also like to congratulate Isabelle Cartledge, who competed at the Regional Athletics Carnival in Warrnambool a fortnight ago. Isabelle achieved an outstanding result, finishing 1st in both Discus and Shot Put. She will now go on to compete at State level, an incredible achievement. We are very proud of her efforts and wish her all the best for the next stage of competition.
Please feel free to contact myself to let me know of any sporting achievements that happen outside of school as we love to celebrate everyone’s success.
