Term 2 - Week 4
Dear Families,
We have recently been blessed with beautiful autumn weather, showcasing Bendigo at its most picturesque. It has been a wonderful backdrop to our busy and eventful term.
As you are aware, our two building projects, along with the ongoing council works on Havelock Street, have presented some challenges for our school community.
Internally, we have needed to relocate classes, resources and staff facilities as we await the completion of our Admin Hub refurbishment, anticipated later in August.
Outdoor play spaces have also been more limited than usual while we prepare for the development of our new playground.
In addition, parking and pick-up arrangements have required extra patience and care due to the constant works surrounding the school.
Despite these disruptions, it has been heartening to see our community at its very best. Our students continue to learn, grow and thrive, our staff remain highly professional and adaptable, and our families continue to show strong support and understanding.
Together, we look forward to the completion of these projects and to restoring St Kilian’s to its full beauty - a place that continues to hold a special place in the heart of Bendigo and within Sandhurst Catholic Education.
Mother's Day
Last Sunday we celebrated Mother’s Day and gave thanks for the incredible mothers, grandmothers, carers and special women who play such an important role in the lives of our children and school community.
We acknowledge the love, care, encouragement and support they provide each day, often in ways both big and small. Their guidance helps shape our students into compassionate, resilient, and confident young people.
We hope all mothers and special women in our community enjoyed a wonderful day filled with love, appreciation and time with family. Thank you for the many ways you support our school and our students throughout the year.
We also extend our sincere thanks to everyone who supported our Mother’s Day Breakfast at St Kilian’s. It was wonderful to see so many families come together to celebrate and connect as a community. A special thank you to our staff and volunteers who helped organise and prepare the morning. Your support and generosity helped create a warm and welcoming event enjoyed by all.
