Support Unit at the Royal Easter Show

On Thursday 1 April, students in the Support Unit celebrated the end of Term 1 with an exciting trip to the Royal Easter Show. The day began with a walk to catch the public bus to Sydney Olympic Park, filling students with anticipation for the adventures ahead.

At the show, students enjoyed seeing a variety of animals, including chickens, ducks, horses, alpacas, and pigs. Some even had the unique opportunity to milk a cow! The group also visited the Farm Nursery, where they fed baby farm animals before making their way to the main arena for the show.

Highlights included watching animal races on quad bikes, with the playful fox emerging as the crowd’s favourite winner. The excitement continued with a daring cannon launch (don’t try this at home!) and impressive high-flying motocross stunts performed by the skilled motocross team. Students even had the big screen as part of the dance cam.

The day was capped off with visits to the fire trucks and police exhibit. It was a fun-filled day enjoyed by all, marking a wonderful end to Term 1.
