St Anthony’s Parish and St Anthony’s School hold the care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people as central and fundamental responsibilities of the Church.

St Anthony’s is fully compliant with all policies in relation to Child Safety. These documents ensure compliance with the Victorian Government Child Safety Standards which took effect on 1 January 2017 and reflect our Parish's ongoing commitment to ensuring that all children are safe, happy and empowered.

What an amazing year we have shared together. We have achieved so much and have so many exciting things already planned for 2026.

We started the year with a beautiful 70th anniversary celebration that saw many past students, staff and parishioners join us for a day of thanks and giving thanks. Our community celebrated Harmony Day and shared our culture and stories together. We watched the demolition of our old portables and the movement of our Community Hub into our old library space. We opened a brand-new library and built a fantastic new Middle and Senior Student playground. We quickly noticed that the wall ramp was the most popular addition to the space.

We had students celebrate their First Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation, our whole school enjoyed a special day acknowledging the Jubilee Year and most recently we listened to beautiful singing voices at our Christmas Carols and Prayer Service.

In the last few weeks, we have watched the installation of temporary fencing and bathrooms and awed at the sight of the demolition of the old bus shelter, old senior playground and witness the start of the demolition of the ancient student bathrooms.

And whilst all this happened during the year we were blessed to see our students flourish, be known and succeed socially and academically.

I take this time to thank our truly amazing staff and community for without you all we would simply not be able to achieve the successes that we do. Our students are blessed to have such supportive families, caring and dedicated school staff and caring community. No other school is as lucky as we are!

To our leaving students, over your time here, we haven't just watched you grow in height—we have watched you flourish in character, curiosity, and in capability. You have achieved successes in your learning, built friendships that will genuinely last a lifetime, and gained the essential knowledge that will be the foundation for everything you do next. May you take the St Anthony's High Expectations of Respect and all that you have learned here with you. Be brave, be kind and shine just as you have been at St Anthony's.

Wishing all families a safe and blessed Christmas holiday. May the peace of Christ be with you all.

Warm regards
