A great few weeks of sport at Sacred Heart!
Students have enjoyed a two-week unit on AFL and it’s great to see everyone getting involved and improving their skills.
Downball Competition
Sacred Heart was lucky enough to enter 4 teams in the inaugural Grades 3-6 Downball Australia tournament in Shepparton. Interested students participated in trials and seeding at school to determine the teams. All students involved in the selection process demonstrated the Downball Australia values of Respect, Inclusiveness and Enthusiasm.
On the day of the tournament students played with fairness, enthusiasm and by the rules. It was a very competitive day with lots of fantastic Downball skills.
Congratulations to all involved and a special well done to the 3/4 Enthusiasm Team (The Stingrays) who ended up taking 1st place in their division!
Division Cross Country
Recently, 17 qualified students travelled across to Princess Park in Shepparton for the Division Cross Country.
It was a beautiful day weather wise, and all students involved put in their best effort.
Although no one qualified for the next round, there were some very close results, and lots of personal bests. All students should be very proud of their efforts.
Division Sports
Last Friday, 5/6 students were involved in Division Sports in Football, Soccer, Netball and TeeBall.
Students represented themselves and Sacred Heart to the best of their abilities and had many well played games and rounds. There were a number of teams who made it to the finals or very close.
Thank you to all the staff and volunteers who helped coach and assist on this great day. Your help and assistance is always appreciated and valued.
