Hi parents, guardians, staff, and friends! Welcome to Week 1 of Term 2.
We would like to begin by acknowledging the Traditional Owners of the land, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation, and pay our respect to their Elders, past, present, and emerging.
Hello to all our amazing parents, guardians, staff, and friends! Welcome to the first week of Term 2!
We hope everyone had a fantastic break — our two week holiday program was packed with fun and excitement!
In the first week, we kicked things off with a hugely popular movie excursion where the kids went to see “Minecraft”. They loved it! Later in the week, we had the thrilling “KABOOM” excursion, where students rotated through a variety of exciting activity stations. Another big hit was the laser tag excursion which brought out lots of energy and smiles. We wrapped up the week with a “MAD Science” session, where the children got hands-on creating their very own DIY soap slime — messy and awesome!
The second week kept the momentum going with a visit to the Werribee Zoo. It was an unforgettable experience as the kids explored the safari and encountered all kinds of wildlife. We also had a super fun “Bubble-O-Fun” activity where the kids made gigantic bubbles — a day full of laughter and amazement.
As we settle into the new term, we’ve had a great start filled with creativity and connection. This week, our focus is on “ANZAC Day” - a time for reflection and remembrance. We’ve been honouring this important occasion through thoughtful art and craft activities, including making poppies to show our respect and appreciation for our servicemen and women.
To help ease back into the school routine, the children have also been enjoying plenty of fun and active group games, including ball games in the mornings and afternoons. Our art sessions have been especially popular, with lots of colouring and drawing to get everyone’s imagination flowing.
It’s been a meaningful and enjoyable start to Term 2, and we’re looking forward to the weeks ahead!
A big thank you to all our families for your wonderful support over the holiday program! It was great to welcome some new faces, and we’re excited to see everyone back this term.
