Science news

Term 2 is always busy for the Science department at Heathmont College. Year 7s have been exploring the topic of Earth, Moon and Sun. They have been looking at the different phases of the moon and used Oreos to recreate the phases. And got to eat the phases too!

Year 8s have been busy swabbing different areas onto plates around the school searching for the dirtiest place (usually their mobile phones!).

Year  9s has been finishing off light which included an eye dissection. The year 10 science investigation classes have been investigating blood splatter as a part of their forensic unit.

The year 11 and 12 psychology class have been completing a unit on the brain with a brain dissection to finish the topic.

Looking forward to an eventful term 2.
