Leadership Report

Term 3, Week 1
Dear Families,
Welcome to Term 3, we hope you’ve had a wonderful break, stayed warm, and are energised for an eventful term.
Richard Buckingham remains on leave for the beginning of the term and in his absence, I am the Acting Principal. We are continuing the recruitment process for an Assistant Principal as the first round resulted in a no appointment. We’re looking for the best candidates and ask for your continued support and patience as this is re-advertised.
The 2026 NAPLAN Individual Student Reports are being sent home this week so please keep an eye out for a white envelope in your child’s bag this week. Please call or email your classroom teacher or the admin team if you would like a digital copy of these documents.
There’s a lot of wonderful learning events happening at Williamstown North Primary School this term so please ensure you’re reading the Dates for your Diary section of class updates. One of those such events are Parent Teacher Interviews. These will be scheduled over 2 weeks to accommodate the resumption of industrial action. Your two designated nights to book in for meeting with your child’s classroom teacher are:
Wednesday 29th July or
Monday 3rd of August
Please also keep an eye out for information regarding the planned strike day, which will take place on Thursday 23rd July. All communication from the school has and will always be in-line with department timelines and content guidelines.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have further questions and/or need more information and we look forward to working with you and your families for another successful term.
Kind regards,
WNPS Leadership Team
