Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers

I am delighted to have recently joined the school as the relieving Principal while Mrs Carr is on leave. Thank you all for your warm and welcoming words – they have made my transition into the school community a wonderful experience.

This week is being celebrated as Education Week across all NSW Public Schools. It is a fantastic opportunity to recognise and celebrate the achievements and learning that happen every day in our schools. At Eglinton Public School, the highlight of the week will be our school concerts, which will take place on Tuesday at the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre.

Our students have been spending considerable time rehearsing to ensure their on-stage performances are of a high quality. These concerts also highlight our High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) opportunities in the creative domain. Through dance, our students are expressing their talents and creativity, showcasing the development of their skills nurtured through our enrichment programs.

We look forward to sharing their talents and hard work with you during these special events.

Athletic Carnival Champions

Congratulations to our outstanding carnival champions! Millie George and Lily McDonald shone in the Senior Girls events, and Levi Whalan led the Senior Boys. Amelia Toska and Gus Slattery showed great skill in the 11yrs categories, while Ava Hemming and Anderson Clark impressed as our Junior champions. Thank you to all participants for making this carnival a fantastic event—we are proud of your effort and sportsmanship!

Student Code of Conduct

The Student Code of Conduct applies to all NSW public school students. It applies to all school activities, both on and off the school site, including online, and how students conduct themselves individually and with other students, teachers, school staff and community members.

Teachers will continue to refer to the Student Code of Conduct throughout Terms 3 and 4 to ensure all students have a clear understanding of the expectations and the positive behaviours that help create a safe, respectful and supportive learning environment.
