A Journey to Remember
On Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5 August, students in Years 2 and 3/4 took to the stage at South Oakleigh Secondary College to perform Are We There Yet? and Journey to the Centre of the Earth.
Over the past 10 weeks, students have worked incredibly hard, learning songs, dances and lines, while also developing the many skills needed to bring a production to life. Performing on stage involves so much more than remembering words and songs - it requires students to know where to stand, when to enter and exit, how to work together and how to support one another as a team.
Our students showed incredible courage and bravery as they performed in front of an audience on a large stage, under bright lights. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow from the very first rehearsal through to their final performance.
I am incredibly proud of how far every student has come. Each student gave their very best, and together they created two wonderful performances that I hope will become cherished memories and stories they can share for many years to come.
Well done to all our amazing performers - you should be very proud of yourselves!
