Hi parents, guardians, staff, and friends!
Welcome to Week 10 of Term 4!
We’re almost at the end of the year. This week’s theme is the start of Christmas. And speaking of Christmas this week guess who’s back? Elfie’s back! The children loved to see him back in TheirCare and every morning the children were so excited to know where he was hiding and what he was doing.
Unfortunately, this week we couldn’t use the gym due to the school events, but the children did very well and were having fun playing on the oval and engaging in a variety of Christmas arts and crafts activities in the TheirCare room. We started by writing our Christmas list and dropping it in the Santa letter box – you’ll be surprised by the list the children write. We also did Christmas décor craft activities like Christmas lanterns, a mini-Christmas tree, and a Christmas bauble – the children loved it! This week there has been a strong focus on playing cricket which has been very popular with this warm weather.
This week’s Pupil of the Week is Oliver Clark for always giving his 100% effort when participating in our craft activities and never giving up when things are hard! Well done, Oliver! You should be proud of yourself!! 😊😊
The end of the school year is fast approaching so is the summer holiday program fun. The holiday program activities have come out with some exciting excursions planned. From going to see the new movie Wish, going to the Jump ‘n’ Jam, Ninja Warrior Quest and Go Climb, to visiting Werribee Zoo – we are going to have a lot of fun!! Planners for the Holiday program are available on the TheirCare website, and we will have some hard copies next week. The Summer Holiday program will be starting on the 8th of January 2024.
How amazing that our prep children are almost in year 1! This week the prep children showed amazing maturity and independence by walking to TheirCare all by themselves. It was pleasing to see that no children were scared or upset walking to TheirCare in the afternoons.
Reminder to all parents who have children who will have expiring medications or medical plans in December, January, and February. If you could please send us an updated version and bring us an up-to-date medication. That would be fantastic! Thank you for your support.
