Welcome to the Middle Unit

This week in Grades 3/4, students have been revisiting addition and subtraction concepts using bar models. They enjoyed working collaboratively with partners on butcher’s paper to solve problems and strengthen their understanding of place value.

Students also had a fantastic time at the Science Incursion a couple of weeks ago. They learned all about the Solar System while applying a range of mathematical skills through engaging, hands-on activities. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm and curiosity throughout the session.

Thank you to all the families who have supported our Mappen unit by participating in student interviews and helping students share a special item from home. Students will be presenting their items next week, and we are looking forward to hearing their presentations. They are all very excited, and there are some particularly interesting and meaningful items that we can’t wait to learn more about.
