Year 1 Soundscapes: Turning Sound into Art

With eyes closed, these little artists tuned into different pieces of music and translated what they heard into lines and curves on paper: bumpy music became jagged lines, gentle music became soft, flowing curves.

We then headed outside for a texture hunt, pressing paper against bark, brick and fences to create printed backgrounds for our artworks, bringing a playful, hands-on end to a lovely morning of listening and creating.
