Hi parents, guardians, staff, friends, and welcome to Week 6.
Week 6 already, this term is going too fast. This week at TheirCare the theme is Fantasy. On Monday we started the week off by creating Furry Monsters with wobbly eyes made out of colourful pom pom balls. We also created unicorn heads out of paper plates, glitter, and pipe cleaners. The children were so creative and did an awesome job.
In the mornings we have been utilising the gym more and more by playing basketball and soccer, which can become very competitive. On Thursday, some of the children decided that they would create fairy letters and write to the fairies. For the rest of the week, we are going to create a fairy garden outside and use flowers and leaves to create a magical little garden. Following the theme of fantasy this week we have challenged the children to draw fantasy creatures. So far, we have seen amazing skills in drawing fairies, dragons, and magical birds. It is awesome to see the children’s talent and imagination in their creations. On Friday or better known as FriYAY we will enjoy Cheese Toasties in the morning and then a Movie Night in the afternoon.
After this week, Ashleigh will be away and completing another two-week teaching placement in Altona. We wish Ashleigh the best and hope she does an amazing job.
West Footscray TheirCare is excited to announce our Special Person and Father’s Day BBQ. The BBQ will be held on Friday the 1st of September at 3pm at the Emu Corner. We encourage and welcome all staff, families, and children to come together to also celebrate Louise’s last day at TheirCare. A flyer will be posted soon confirming details in the next newsletter and will also be posted around the school. Any inquiries please do not hesitate to reach out.
This week’s Pupil of the Week for TheirCare is June Quach. June has received Pupil of the Week for always being an amazing helper, always using her manners and always being friendly with other children and staff. Well done, June you should be so proud! 😊😊
