Hi parents, guardians, staff, friends, and welcome to Week 7.
The end of term is fast approaching, and we have so many exciting events and activities going on at TheirCare. This week the theme is Welcome to the Jungle! On Monday we started the week off by creating monkey faces and colourful pom pom faces. The children were so creative and did an amazing job. In the mornings we have been utilising the gym more and more by playing soccer and block soccer. Soccer is the favourite at the moment after all the World Cup talk. This week we have also been making lots of yummy treats! The kids are having a competition about who does the best roll call in the afternoon to get the week’s treat!
It was very cold and wet this week, so we have been watching movies and creating colourful ironing bead creations! The children have a blast using the ironing beads and letting their imaginations fly! It is awesome to see the children’s talent and imagination in their creations.
On Friday we will be organising some more fun snacks and activities as it’s Book Week! We will be showing off our costumes and enjoying yummy cheese toasties in the morning!
We plan to do a huge food drive these coming weeks for the Ronald McDonald House which supports families whose children are currently receiving treatment at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Ashleigh is away completing another two-week teaching placement in Altona. We wish Ashleigh the best and hope she does an amazing job.
West Footscray TheirCare is excited to announce our Special Person and Father’s Day BBQ. The BBQ will be held on Friday the 1st of September at 3pm at the Emu Corner. We encourage and welcome all staff, families, and children to come together to also celebrate Louise’s last day at TheirCare. Please refer to the flyer below for details. This week’s Pupil of the Week for TheirCare is Lydia Coglin for showing initiative, listening to staff, and overall showing kindness to everyone around her. Well done! 😊😊
