Spotlight on Learning  Room 3

WELCOME TO ROOM 3!

The Year 1s and 2s in Room 3 are thrilled to share the exciting journey they have embarked on this term as we dive into our History Unit of "Past and Present."

Room 3 will learn and understand how life has evolved, focusing on families, transport, technology, and toys through hands-on activities such as creating timelines and a final project. This final project allows students to create a new invention that can help us with everyday jobs. Watch this space as the Year 1s and 2s learn and apply their knowledge to these inventions!

This week, we started to create a display wall that showcases the vocabulary we have learnt and some images of items from the past and present. We will be adding to this wall throughout the term to show everyone what we have been learning!

On Wednesday, we explored what past, present, and future mean, and the students completed an activity about this. Room 3 enjoyed thinking back to their past, what they are doing at this moment (present), and what could happen in the future.

How students feel about learning about Past and Present in History:

· Student 1: “I love it.”

· Student 2: “I like learning about the past because you can see what they used to do.”

· Student 3: “It is interesting.”

· Student 4: “It makes my brain smarter.”

· Student 5: “I like it because I get to learn what happened in the olden days.”
