To mark this year’s Harmony Day on Friday, 21st March, our senior rock and pop bands visited the junior campus for an exciting performance, bringing the school community closer together. The event was designed to promote a sense of belonging and unity, as well as give our talented student musicians an opportunity to showcase their skills and build confidence through live performance.
The school is committed to fostering creativity and providing students with performance opportunities. Each term, students will have the chance to perform at various events, offering them valuable experience and a platform to shine.
If you’re interested in participating or have any questions about upcoming performance opportunities, please speak to Mr. Hobson or Mr. Clifton. Let's continue to celebrate the talent and spirit of our school community!
On Saturday, 29th March, 'The WINDOW' Arts Space, in collaboration with the Sandy Street Art Project, held a special event at Sandringham Village Square to coincide with World Piano Day. The event featured live piano performances as part of the exhibition's opening.
A round of applause goes to Year 11 VCE Music and piano student, Balty Rochelli, who generously volunteered to perform at the event, showcasing his talent and representing Sandringham College within the local community.
This community-driven event provided a fantastic opportunity for students to engage with the public and contribute to the vibrant arts scene in Sandringham. It was wonderful to see Sandringham College represented so positively, and we hope to have more students participate in future events like this!
We're excited to announce that with the launch of our Year 7 Beginner Band next term, all school ensembles will be up and running as we prepare for the College Music Soiree at the end of Term 2. Ensembles provide a fantastic opportunity for our students to develop their musical skills in a collaborative setting. Whether your child is an experienced performer or just starting out, our ensembles are designed to foster teamwork, musical growth, and a strong sense of community.
