Welcome and overall learning summary

Welcome to Level 2 for 2025. We have planned explicit learning experiences filled with a range of learning opportunities for learners to participate in and engage in the Victorian Curriculum.

Already, the learners have transitioned well into Year 2 as they have worked together to explore each of our school values and daily routines that will set them up for continued success throughout the year. It has been lovely to see so many smiling faces who are excited to come into the classroom each day and seek new challenges!

These learning experiences have been tailored to the students' learning needs to create a meaningful learning journey. We aim to challenge and extend the students in all areas across the curriculum. We are excited to be part of the academic, social and emotional learning growth and development of each student throughout the year.

Miss Emma Williams (2A, Teaching and Learning Leader)

Hi there! My name is Emma, and I'm so excited to be teaching Year 2 again for the third year in a row! Although this is my third year with Year 2 at GWPS, but it's actually my 5th year teaching Year 2 since I started teaching many years ago. In my free time, I love watching Disney movies, Harry Potter films, and documentaries about ocean animals. I also enjoy drawing whenever I get the chance! Feel free to say hi and introduce yourself if you see me around the place! 😊

Mrs Jessica Reeves (2B, Assistant Teaching and Learning Leader)

A big hello to everyone! My name is Jessica Reeves, and I am very excited to be teaching Grade 2 for 2025! I look forward to getting to know everyone and I am excited for the year ahead. I enjoy spending time with my two little girls and cooking Mexican food. Please come over and say hi if you see me around the school.

Miss Haileina Shi (2C)

Hello everyone! My name is Haileina (or Miss Shi) and I am thrilled to be teaching my third year at GWPS and Grade 2! I love music, all types of sports, and most of all, I look forward to a wonderful year with the Year 2 learners 🙂.

Miss Lucy Li (2D)

Hi, I’m Lucy, and I’m so excited to be teaching Year Two this year! I really enjoy dancing and exploring new restaurants with my friends and family. In my free time, I also love reading and discovering new hobbies. I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Ms Shveta Mahajan (2E)

I’m Shveta, and I’m thrilled to be teaching Year Two this year! I’ve been passionate about badminton since I was ten and enjoy crocheting in my free time. I look forward to a wonderful year, building connections with our Year Two students and their families.
