P&C NEWS – A LOOK AT WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO!

It’s been a busy year for our P&C, with much of our time and energy focused on working towards the major project P-2 Playground Campaign. While this has been a big focus behind the scenes, we’ve also had some wonderful smaller initiatives happening throughout the year, all aimed at supporting our students and school community.

We thought it was time to share a little update on what we’ve been up to!

💃 SCHOOL DISCO – BIG FUN FOR A GREAT CAUSE!

In Term 3, the P&C teamed up with our Student Council to host a School Disco during the school day!

PBSS Student Council approached the P&C with a goal of raising funds towards a new cold water bubbler for the school, asking if the P&C could match the funds they raised in 2026 to help reach their target.

We were more than happy to support our students and get behind their initiative! It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the disco while fundraising for such a great cause. All funds raised through the event will be donated to the Student Council to help bring their new bubbler project to life.

A big thank you to everyone who supported the disco and helped make it a success!

💧 A LITTLE EXTRA HELP FROM OUR LOCAL COUNCIL!

We’re also excited to share that the P&C successfully applied for and received a grant from our local council, which will contribute towards the new cold water bubbler project.

It’s wonderful to be able to combine student-led fundraising, P&C support and grant funding to help make a practical improvement for our school.

We’re proud of our Student Council for taking the initiative and working towards something that will benefit our wider school community!

📚 BOOK FAIR – OUR MOST SUCCESSFUL YEAR YET!

A huge thank you to Phoebe, who led this year’s Book Fair!

We’re thrilled to share that this was the most successful Book Fair yet. Thank you to all the families who supported the event and helped make it such a success.

The great thing about the Book Fair is that the funds raised come back to the school in the form of Scholastic credits, which can be used to purchase books and educational resources for our school. This helps support classroom libraries, student reading programs and other literacy resources for our students.

Every book purchased gives something back to the school, so thank you for getting behind this fantastic initiative!

💙 WANT TO GET INVOLVED IN THE P&C IN 2027?

As we start looking ahead to 2027, we’d love to hear from members of our school community who may be interested in joining the P&C Committee.

You don’t need to have previous committee experience – just an interest in supporting our school and helping make a difference for our students.

Whether you’re interested in taking on a committee position or simply finding out more about what’s involved, we’d love to hear from you.

Expressions of interest are welcome! Please email our P&C Secretary at secretary@pbsspandc.org to find out more.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

We’d like to thank our school community, families, staff and volunteers for supporting the P&C throughout the year. Every contribution, big or small, helps us continue working towards opportunities and improvements for our students.

We look forward to sharing more updates as our projects progress and thank you for being part of our school community!
