Dear Families and Friends,
Term Three has been a busy term for all. I thank all students and staff for their work this term. We have truly seen all at St Anthony's Flourishing and Known in their academics, wellbeing, socialisation and faith.
Athletics
Last week we held our biannual Athletics Carnival. I'd like to thank Mr Harisiou and Josh for all of their hard work preparing the students and organising such smoothly run day. Congratulations to all students for their team work and athletic competitiveness. It was wonderful to see our High Expectation of respecting others being displayed by all students. Further congratulations to those students who represented St Anthony's at the district athletics on Thursday.
Art Exhibition
We are very excited to invite all families and friends to attend the Art Exhibition next Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning. Our students have been working very hard over the year to generate amazing artworks that will be on display for all to view in our Padua Space. During the Tuesday viewing time families are invited to bid on some amazing pieces that have been generated for sale. We look forward to seeing many families and friends attend this showcase of student creativity.
Father's Day and Special Friends Celebration
We loved having our visitors this afternoon. It was great to see students and families joining together and working on some fun activities. Father's play such a big part in our lives and help our formation. We thank everyone for joining us and celebrating the amazing men we have in our lives.
You are Invited
On Friday 9th October at 10am we have the Opening and Blessing of our new facilities and our beautiful kitchen classroom. All families are invited to join our special celebration. Families are asked to RSVP to Lisa via email for catering purposes. locchietti@sanoblepark.catholic.edu.au
Or via the Compass invitation that will be sent early next week.
We ask that all guest arrive early and are seated at 9.45am. The Opening and Blessing will be held in our school quad with tours of our wonderful new facilities after the official ceremony.
Term Four Uniform
Students are required to wear summer uniforms in Term Four. No leggings or tights are to be worn under summer dresses. As St Anthony's is a sunsmart school, all students will need their school hat in order to play outside. If they do not have a hat they will be directed to site at the undercover areas at the picnic tables during break times.
Over the next two weeks I will be attending a Principal Pilgrimage following the footsteps of St Paul. I will be travelling with 15 other principals to Turkey and Greece walking in the footsteps of St Paul, learning more about his journey in finding his faith in God.
The purpose of travelling overseas is to engage in a faith formation experience that cannot be replicated locally. The Footsteps of St Paul pilgrimage will allow us as leaders to directly engage with the historical, geographical and cultural context of the early Church. I look forward to sharing my learning with all next term.
Please contact James Gow or Glennis Kerr while I am away.
Last day of Term Three Friday 18th - 2.30pm pick up
May you all have a wonderful end to the term and a safe and restful break before the commencement of Term Four.
