Sport around the grounds
PDSSSC Thursday Rep Sport - Season 3
Trials for season 3 sports began this week and will continue into next week. The following sports are what we will be participating in during this next season.
- Girls Basketball
- Boys Wanderers Fives
- Boys and Girls Cricket
Blacktown Zone Primary Athletics Carnival
On Tuesday 11th of August, around 30 students participated in the Blacktown Zone Athletics Carnival. This was a great achievement for students to qualify for this event. Students participated in a range of Athletics events and competed against students from other Parramatta Diocesan schools from the Blacktown area. All students performed exceptionally well, however a special mention goes to Sienna from Stage 2 who placed first in her age group for long jump. Also our junior boys relay team which consisted of Atonio, Tayvion, Ocean and Chanel who placed fourth. We wish these students the best of luck as they now progress to Diocesan Athletics and compete against athletes from all Parramatta Diocesan schools.
Woolworths Cricket Blast
K-2 It has been a great four weeks seeing our kindergarten, year 1 and year 2 students participate in the before-school Woolworths Cricket Blast Program. All students had a great time learning new skills in a fun environment led by Cricket NSW coaches. Tuesday 25/8/26 saw the last week of the program for this age group.
3-6 The Year 3 to Year 6 program is set to start on Tuesday 1/9/26. Parents are required to register their children if they wish to participate. This is open to the first 50 students who register. Please see the image below for details on how to register. Parents who register their children and are within the first 50 will receive further information directly from Cricket NSW about the specific details of this program.
