Term 3

Secondary 7/8 students have had a busy and exciting Term 3 filled with special events and plenty of opportunities to connect with others.

We began the term with an excursion to the Royal Botanic Gardens, where students explored the gardens and learned about mindfulness and how being in the garden can help our mental health. Students also enjoyed visiting the Lower Primary Book Fair, where they had the opportunity to browse and purchase books.

During Bullying No Way Week, students participated in activities focused on kindness and respect. Classes discussed ways to be kind to others and worked together to create a kindness chain, highlighting the positive actions they can do to reduce bullying.

Book Week was another highlight, with students and staff making a fantastic effort to dress up as their favourite book characters. It was wonderful to see so much creativity and enthusiasm.

The big focus throughout the term has been preparing for our Secondary Spectacular production of Mamma Mia! Students participated in many rehearsals and worked incredibly hard learning songs, dances and lines. The highlight of the term was performing Mamma Mia! twice, including a special evening performance for family and friends. We were incredibly proud of the confidence and enthusiasm shown by all students.

In the classroom, students have been learning about water, where it comes from and why it is important. As part of our Discovery Unit, students explored the features that make places liveable. In Mathematics, students have been developing their understanding of measurement through a range of hands-on learning activities.

Thank you to all the staff and students who have made this another wonderful term and we look forward to exciting Term 4 ahead.
