Year 4 Community 

Take a look at what our Year 4 students have been getting up to in Science! 

Students have been busy putting their scientific thinking into action through hands-on investigations. 

During our erosion investigation, students created mini landscapes and explored how water can change the Earth’s surface. They observed how moving water can carry soil and sediment from one place to another and reshape the land over time.

Our Science learning has also connected with our English lessons, where students used their knowledge of erosion to write their own explanation texts, explaining how erosion occurs and how it changes the Earth’s surface.

More recently, students have been investigating heat and how it can affect different materials. They made predictions, conducted an investigation, recorded their observations and discussed what their results showed.
