Hi parents, guardians, staff, and friends!
Welcome to Week 7 of Term 2!
Where did the days go? Scary yet surprising how time goes by so fast! During this week our theme is “Around the World”. This week, we have a busy yet crazy afternoon, starting on Monday with 50 children, followed by a massive number of 83 children on Wednesday and 75 for both Tuesday and Thursday.
During this week, we have been utilizing the gym every morning where we played basketball, blocked soccer, and 'everybody’s it', while in the TheirCare room children are engaged in arts and crafts activities, such as colouring pages, drawing, and origami. Meanwhile, in the afternoon, children have been playing a variety of sports games like tennis, football, hockey, and basketball. Also, we have been doing lots of arts every afternoon, where we did Globe of Earth painting and World Map Puzzle Painting activities. It is amazing to see how children can have such brilliant ideas and creativity once they are engaged in arts and crafts activities.
This week’s Pupil of the Week is Micah Chen for being thoughtful and caring and for making sure that others are okay, especially when they are hurt. Well done Micah! You should be so proud of yourself. 😊
We would like to let all prep families know that this week the prep children started walking by themselves over to TheirCare every afternoon. We are very happy to let you know that they have done such an amazing job and showed great confidence walking by themselves. Please note that they are being supervised by one of our staff as they transit. If you have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to discuss them with us.
Also, we would like to let all families know that the Winter Holiday Program is now open for bookings. Flyers will be available next week at the TheirCare room, but brochures can be accessed online. For this holiday program, we have four massive excursions to the Movies, Super Park, Rolling Skating Arena and even going to the 3D Dino Museum. Looks like we will be having so much fun in this upcoming Holiday Program!
TheirCare will be running a Pupil-Free Day next Thursday the 6th of June and we will be open from 7:00am until 6:15pm.
