School Starters Transition Program
At Doncaster Primary School, we aim to ensure a strong sense of connection. Prep Transition sessions are an important opportunity for your child to become familiar with their school environment, teachers and peers.
Parent Information Session
Prior to the first Transition Session, we will be hosting a Parent Information Evening on Thursday 15th October. This session is designed for parents/carers to develop an understanding of everything they need to know about the Transition program and preparing your child for school.
When: Thursday 15th October 2026
Where: Junior School Building
Time: 5pm
Student Sessions
Each of our transition sessions will take place in the Junior School Building.
Sessions will run from 9.15am until 10.30am.
Please bring a drink bottle containing water.
During sessions 1 and 2, parents are invited to attend a series of information sessions in the staffroom.

School Uniform Samples Sample uniform items will be available to view. A second hand uniform sale will also be available. |

| Specialist Session Students will participate in a selection of specialist classes including, sport, LOTE (Mandarin) and Art. | No parent session. |
| 5 | Friday 20th November | 9:15-10:00am
| Chat and Play Parents and students are invited to come along to chat and play with other school starters, parents and teachers on the Junior School playground. | Parents attend Chat and Play session with students. |
| 6 | Friday 27th November | 9:15-10:30am
| Meet the Teacher Students will meet their 2027 classroom teacher and peers. | No parent session. |
