Principal's Message

We’ve officially wrapped up the 2024 school year for our students! What an incredible year it has been—filled with adventure, learning, growth, and fun! From excursions, camps, and sports days, to specialist classes, dress-up days, concerts, and so much more, it’s been a year to remember! 🎶🎭

Year 6 Graduation 🎓

This week, we celebrated our Year 6 students and their families as we said farewell. Completing primary school is such an exciting milestone, and we send these students off with confidence, knowing they’re well-prepared for their secondary schooling. It was a joy to present our Year 6 students at the final whole-school assembly on Friday, where they left the assembly through a staff guard of honour, marking the end of their primary years. 🌟

2025 Staffing News 🏫

We are excited to share that Suzy Allan has been appointed to an ongoing classroom teacher position at Barton Primary School for 2025! Suzy has been a valued member of our community for the past three years, initially teaching in Year 3/4 and more recently transitioning to Year 1/2. Her unwavering care for students and dedication to their growth has made a lasting impact. While we’re sad to say goodbye, we know this new role will offer her wonderful opportunities to continue advancing her teaching career.

We also say farewell to Ashleigh Finn, who has worked as an Integration Aide in both the Year 3/4 and Year 1/2 classrooms during Terms 3 and 4. Though her time with us was brief, Ashleigh made meaningful connections with our students, and her kindness and dedication have been greatly appreciated. We wish her the very best in her future endeavours! 💐

Lastly, we say farewell to Ben Welsh, who joined our school this year as an Assistant Principal with a wealth of leadership experience. Ben’s genuine care for our students and positive impact on both staff and students have been truly appreciated. We are grateful for the time and expertise he has shared with us and wish him all the best in his future pursuits. 🌟

Family Farewells 🌟

We also bid farewell to several families who will be leaving our school community. While our Year 6 students have graduated from primary school, so too have some of our families, many of whom have been a part of Seaford Park PS for many years. This year, we say goodbye to the following graduating families: Adams, Burrell-Paulson, Fisher, French, Knox, Lindley, Murphy, Tentser, Wallis, and Williams.

Additionally, we farewell a number of families who will be moving on from Seaford Park PS at the end of this year: Fennell, Hook, Leith, Lux, Vine, and Walker. We wish them all the best in their new adventures and thank them for their contributions to our community!

A Big Thank You to Our Staff 👏

As we close out the year, we want to express our deepest gratitude to our incredible staff for their hard work and dedication. They’ve gone above and beyond to inspire and support our students, creating a nurturing and positive learning environment. We truly appreciate all their efforts in making this school year a success!

Thank You, Families 🙏

On behalf of the entire school community, we also want to thank you, our wonderful parents, for your ongoing support. A special thank you to those who volunteered their time this year—whether on School Council, helping with fruit cutting on Fridays, supporting our Colour Runs and Christmas Community Night, or in many other ways. Your contributions have made a huge difference, and we are grateful for your involvement in making Seaford Park PS such a vibrant and supportive community. ❤️

Looking Ahead to 2025 🔮

While we’re excited to dive into the new year, it’s time to rest, recharge, and spend quality time with loved ones. 2025 promises to bring even more exciting opportunities, but for now, let’s take a moment to reflect on the amazing growth we’ve witnessed in our students and the incredible contributions from our staff.

On behalf of all the staff at Seaford Park PS, we wish you a festive Christmas and a safe, happy New Year! 🎄✨

Warm regards,

Stephania Johnson-Turner
