From the Assistant Principal, Cocurricular
Winter sport recommences this weekend with ISA Football and Tennis playing Round 8 of their competition and Rugby in ISA Round 3.
Training has started back up for all teams.
Next week Athletics training will start for the Term 3 Invitational Carnivals which commence in Week 4 and the ISA Carnival scheduled for Week 9.
Over the break, Coerver, in conjunction with the SPX Football Club, hosted a fantastic Training Camp at Oxford Falls and my thanks go to all involved. In addition, the 1st XV Rugby Squad had a hugely successful tour to Queensland, winning both their games. Thanks go to everyone who made the tour possible.
Please ensure that your sons are correctly equipped for their respective sports. With the cold weather prevalent now, the College wet weather jacket and track pants are recommended as a warm top layer for Saturdays. Alternatively, boys should be in full sports uniform or Winter Uniform for Saturday Sport.
I look forward to seeing you all throughout the term.
Supporter's Apparel
Following the wet weather cancellations to our football program in Term 2 our football supporters will have their first opportunity to purchase supporter's apparel at Oxford Falls this weekend.
The good news for our football community is that we are now in possession of the full range of apparel, including navy caps, pink caps, SPX scarves and beanies, zipper hoodies, polos, all weather jackets and sleeveless puffer jackets. These will be on sale from the Canteen next to the football club BBQ and cake stall, noted below in the football section of this page. A price list is displayed below for your information.
Summer sport registrations
We are currently finalising the back-end of Clipboard in preparation for the opening of summer sport registrations. Registrations will open next Friday, 2 August at 9:00 am.
The summer registrations will be the last opportunity for students to engage with the cocurricular program with the college in order to fulfil their enrolment requirements.
Mr Matt Stearn - Assistant Principal, Cocurricular

During the break, Joshua Bu in Year 8 won the bronze medal for U13 boys national table tennis championships. The tournament took place in Mandurah, Western Australia. What a wonderful achievement for Joshua!

Football
Welcome back to the Football season, it is a short, sharp dash to the finish with 3 rounds left followed by semi and grand finals for those teams to make it that far.
Congratulations to all the students who participated in the COERVER Football camp over the holidays, it was a tremendous success.
Fixtures will continue to be released and updated through both CANVAS and CLIPBOARD.
This weekend there are home games and after recent wash outs we are hoping to get good support for the Football Club’s BBQ and Bake Sale to raise money to invest straight back into your son’s football.

Well done to the 15A, 16A and Open teams that played under lights on Tuesday night as a rescheduled fixture. Although a tough afternoon playing St Augustines, the students showed great determination, particularly the 1st XV who were narrowly defeated by 4 points (30 -34). Thank you to all the supporters who braved the cold conditions to cheer on all the Pius teams.
