Trivia Night Success!
A huge thank you to our incredible PFA for organising and running such a fantastic Trivia Night. The amount of time, effort and dedication that goes on behind the scenes to make an event like this successful is truly remarkable, and we are incredibly grateful for everything they do to support our school community.
Special thanks to Erin for coordinating the entire event, to Simon for being a brilliant MC and creating such entertaining rounds that perfectly reflected our 50th anniversary celebrations, and to Pippa for her outstanding work sourcing donations for the silent auction and lucky envelopes. We would also like to thank the many parents, friends and community members who attended, donated prizes, volunteered their time and helped create such a fun and welcoming atmosphere on the night.
While we are still finalising the figures, early indications suggest that a significant amount was raised, with funds going towards the purchase of new Chromebooks for our students. On behalf of the entire Marlborough Primary School community, thank you for your generosity, enthusiasm and ongoing support. We are so fortunate to have such a dedicated and passionate group of volunteers supporting our school. 🙏
MND Fundraiser 💙
Just a reminder that tomorrow is our Fight MND Fundraiser Day. Students are encouraged to come dressed in blue and bring along a gold coin donation to show their support for those affected by Motor Neurone Disease. All funds raised will be donated to Fight MND. Thank you for helping us support this important cause while making a difference in the lives of others.
Socceroos Watch Party!⚽💚💛
To help celebrate the excitement of the FIFA World Cup, we will be holding a Socceroos Watch Party this Friday at 12:00pm for any students who would like to attend. Students will have the opportunity to watch Australia take on Paraguay and cheer on our national team together. It promises to be a fun way to get into the World Cup spirit, celebrate the game and support some of Australia's best athletes on the world stage.
Reports and Parent-Teacher Interviews
School reports will be released via Compass this afternoon. Parent-Teacher Interviews will be held on Wednesday, 29th July and provide an opportunity to discuss your child's progress and report with their teacher. Families of students who have participated in a Student Support Group (SSG) meeting do not need to book a Parent-Teacher Interview, as their child's progress has already been discussed through this process.
2027 Foundation Enrolments
As we begin planning for 2027, we would love the support of our wonderful school community in helping to spread the word about all that makes Marlborough Primary School such a special place. Word of mouth remains one of the most powerful ways to showcase our school, and we encourage you to share your positive experiences with friends, family, neighbours, and prospective families.
For Foundation (Prep) enrolments in 2027, our school is using the Victorian Government's online enrolment system, VicStudents.
To begin your application, simply create an account and complete the online enrolment form via the link below by Friday 31 July 2026. Please remember to select Marlborough Primary School as your first preference.

If you would prefer to submit a paper enrolment form, please contact the school office or drop in and see Nat, who will be more than happy to assist you. We look forward to welcoming our future Foundation students and their families to the Marlborough community.
End of Term
As we come to the end of another busy term, we'd love to see you at our final assembly tomorrow at 2:00pm. Families are warmly invited to attend. Please remember that students will be dismissed at 2:30pm for the start of the Term 2 holidays.
On this day…
- June 22 (1926): The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) was formed, which later became Australia's premier science agency, the CSIRO.
- June 26 (1988): The ARIA Charts were officially compiled for the first time by the Australian Recording Industry Association
Thank you to our students, families and staff for another fantastic term. We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday break and hope you enjoy the opportunity to relax, recharge and spend time with loved ones. We look forward to seeing all of our students back at school for the beginning of Term 3 on Monday, 13th July.
Kind regards,
Nadja Wood
