Welcome Back to Term Three
Welcome back to Term Three! We hope all of our students and families enjoyed a safe, restful holiday break. It has been wonderful welcoming students back across both campuses this week, with classrooms quickly settling back into routines and students reconnecting with their friends, teachers and learning.
This is an additional 'out-of-cycle' newsletter to once again share and prepare all the great things coming up at Banmira in Term Three! We'll be back on our fortnightly cycle next Friday.
Student Support Group Meetings- Monday 20 July
A reminder that Monday 20 July is a Student Free Day while we hold Student Support Group (SSG) meetings across both campuses.
SSGs are an important opportunity for families and school staff to celebrate student progress, review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and establish priorities for the semester ahead.
Our teachers have already identified a number of your child's next points of learning. We also encourage families to come with an idea for one priority goal you would like the school to support your child with this semester. This might relate to communication, independence, friendships, behaviour, wellbeing or learning. Working together ensures we are all striving towards the same goals for your child.
Students are welcome to attend alongside their parents or carers. If you have not yet booked your meeting, please contact your child's classroom teacher or your campus office.

Attendance and Winter Illness
Regular attendance gives students the best opportunity to learn, develop friendships and build independence.
However, if your child is unwell, please keep them at home to recover. This helps protect other students and staff, particularly members of our community who have complex health needs or weakened immune systems.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support of Banmira Specialist School. We are looking forward to another fantastic term of learning, growth and celebration with our students and families.
