Assistant Principal's Report

Welcome Back

Term 4 is now well underway and marks the final quarter of the 2026 school year. With only 9 more weeks of the the year remaining it is a time where the Year 6 students in particular get to enjoy the final term of their primary school journey in preparation for the transition to secondary college. The importance of both staff and students working extremely hard to ensure the students are prepared cannot be over emphasised. Later in the year at the graduation ceremony we will get to celebrate the contributions the students have made over the last 7 years. This will be an exciting event for them to look forward to.

Statewide orientation day for students attending a governement secondary college in 2027 will take place on Tueday 8th December.

With Semester 2 student reports written later in the term it is an important time for all students, requiring them to consolidate their learning and demonstrate progress made during the second half of the year. Please continue to support your child/ren by discussing their learning at the end of the day, completing nightly home reading as well as number fact consolidation through the completion of TTRS activities.

There are also several exciting events to look forward to for all year levels throughout the semester.

Teeth on Wheels

Next week, on Monday 19th October, Teeth On Wheels will be returning to our school to provide follow up in-school dental check-ups and oral health education.

Any new registrations to ensure your child visits the van were to be completed by Monday 12th October. Those students who registered earlier in the year are already on the list.

If you have not registered and would like your child to have a check up please contact the school as soon as possible - we will assist where possible.

The van will be at school conducting the check-ups on Monday 19th, Tuesday 20th and Monday 26th October.

Have a lovely weekend.
