Clontarf Academy

Mr David Friebel, Clontarf Academy Director

After a refreshing break it’s great to be back amongst the action for 2024. I would like to send a huge welcome to all our returning boys and new students. I would also like to offer a warm welcome to the families of our boys. Please know that you are also a huge part of our program. If you are ever floating around the school, please drop in and say hello.

With a staggered start to Week 1, we now have all our boys back on deck. It’s exciting to see the numbers increase in our program from 32 in 2023 to 45 boys already in 2024.

On Wednesday, it was great to meet our new cohort of 10 Year 7 boys. They are a great bunch and I am looking forward to the energy that they will bring to our program.

Thursday saw the first day for our 11 new Boarders with boys from Darwin, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs making the big move to St Patrick’s College. They are an impressive group of young men, and they will add a lot to our young academy.

We have a busy term planned for our boys with the Year 7 Induction camp in Week 4, Year 8/9 camp to Anglesea in Week 5 and the Clontarf Employment forum in Melbourne in Week 8 for our 10-12 boys. Along with our morning trainings and afternoon activities, we have a jam-packed term to keep our boys engaged.
