A Prayer During Lent

Loving God,

As we journey through this season of Lent, help us to slow down and make space for You. In the busyness of school days, homework, activities, and responsibilities, remind us to pause, to reflect, and to listen.

Teach us to grow in kindness and patience. When we are tempted to act without thinking, help us choose compassion. When we feel frustrated or tired, give us gentle words and understanding hearts.

May this season be a time of renewal for our school community. Help us to forgive as we have been forgiven, to serve without seeking reward, and to notice those who may need a friend.

As we prepare for Easter, shape us into people of hope —ready to bring light, peace, and joy into our classrooms, our homes, and our world.

We ask this in faith and trust.

Our Acknowledgment of Country

We acknowledge that we learn, grow, create and celebrate on Wurundjeri Country. 

We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

We are grateful for the opportunity to share the glorious land, sky, waterways, and wonderful wildlife with the traditional owners.

Exploring Country brings us joy, happiness and peace. 

We will continue our connection with Country through respectful play, by caring for our community and the environment and engaging in learning that challenges injustice and leads change.
