From the Death to Life
Alleluia He is Risen!
On Wednesday the entire school gathered. This time beside the posts on the adventure play ground/Aylmer Road side of the school. It was a glorious autumn morning and we were joined by a number of parents. The celebration and reenactment of the events of Easter morning were led by our seniors in LS1. They were sensational!!!! The choir also performed and concluded a beautiful reverent and extra special morning gathering.
Happy Easter to all our Families
May the glory and the promise of this joyous time of year
bring peace and happiness to you and those you hold most dear.
And may Christ, Our Risen Saviour, always be there by your side
to bless you most abundantly and be your loving guide.
We will remember them.
On Thursday, we gathered to commemorate ANZAC Day. ANZAC Day marks the 1915 landing of the Australian and New Zealand corps landing at Gallipoli.
We remembered with gratitude all men and women who have served, fought and died in all wars. We remembered their courage, endurance and self-sacrifice with grateful hearts and thank all those who gave their lives so that we may live in peace and freedom. We pray for peace and our thankful to those who continue to serve as peace keepers and do their part to maintain peace.
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
we will remember them.
Lest We Forget
School News
- We now have four new chickens. They have been introduced to the two we had. At first the two old girls had a lot to say however we are happy to report they are all learning to get along. Thanks to Rebecca, Marianne and Lincoln for the care of our chickens and for supporting with their integration.
The recent hot summer has caused soil on the oval to compact around the soccer goals. This has required immediate action. This Friday the oval will get some attention with a large area getting fertiliser, top soil and seeding. As a result this area will be closed off to allow the grass to grow during Term 2. Soccer goals have been moved toward the area near the sheds.
