Principal's Message

Dear parents, students and families,

Gallery Image

You will have noticed that the build with the framing happening this week, the roof planned for Monday and with it expected to be closed up by Melbourne Cup weekend and the plastering to commence. This is the progress I am sure we have all been looking forward to.

On Tuesday we had a basketball team progress through to the regional finals to which Mrs Ary took them. They are a pretty classy team and played very well together but ran into some teams that were predominantly Year 6 students, which ours weren't. Congratulations to them all.

Last night our Leadership Team, current Foundation staff and our incoming parent cohort for our Foundation 2026 parent dinner joined together for a social occasion. This opportunity was provided to this group of parents to form the connections that belonging to a school and faith community are all about. We felt it was both a lot of fun and a success for our parents to connect and I thank them for their attendance and the staff who supported the event.

As you would be aware this is a Year of Jubilee for our Church. We have acknowledged this many times throughout the year. Tomorrow we are joining together for a Jubilee Spirit Day commencing with Mass followed by a day of sporting activities lead by the Kaboom Sports company. Thank you to Mrs Winduss, Mrs Ary and the Our House Spirit Team for organising this.

Next Tuesday we have our Fire Carrier students on an excursion to the MCG Sports Museum and also have the Year 1/2 excursion to TwistED at Moorabin as part of their classroom studies. On Wednesday our senior students will be at John Paul College playing sport against all of the other local 'feeder' Catholic schools as part of the annual Lightning Premiership. Next Friday 24 October students are asked to bring Lucky Jars and wear casual clothes as part of our preparations for our Market Day.  The week is very full of great experiences for our students.

God Bless
