Dear Parents and Carers

P&C Bunnings BBQ

A huge thank you to our P&C for hosting a Bunnings BBQ on Sunday. I would like to thank the parent and staff volunteers who generously gave up their time to make the day a success. It was a great way to showcase the fantastic parent support to our school. 

All money raised from any P&C event goes directly back into the school, helping to support our wonderful programs and purchase new resources for our students.

Please be on the look out for the call for volunteers for the next Bunnings BBQ on Saturday 17 October.

Enrolments for 2027

Please spread the word and check with family and friends who may be intending to send their children to Eglinton Public School for 2027 that enrolments are now open from Kindergarten to Year 6. If you have any questions about enrolling your child, please contact the school office.

Healthy Choices

Staff are noticing a lot of lollies, soft drinks and big bags of chips coming into school in the mornings. Students are going to the newly opened shop, making purchases, then bringing them to school. Staff have been asked if they see students with lollies, soft drinks or big bags of chips, they ask the students to put these items in their bags, where they are to remain until the end of the day. If a student refuses to do so, these items may end up in my office and returned at the end of the day.

School Excursions

There are a number of permission notes being sent out through School Bytes this term and next. Please make sure you have given permission for your child to attend activities before the cut-off date, as they may miss out if permission is not provided by the due date.

Student Code of Conduct

The Student Code of Conduct applies to all NSW public school students. It applies to all school activities, both on and off the school site, including online, and how students conduct themselves individually and with other students, teachers, school staff and community members.

Teachers will continue to refer to the Student Code of Conduct throughout Terms 3 and 4 to ensure all students have a clear understanding of the expectations and the positive behaviours that help create a safe, respectful and supportive learning environment.
