The children have been learning about what it means to be compassionate and acting like Jesus by helping practically or simply showing kindness to someone in need. They have been investigating real-life stories of individuals who have transformed their lives with Caritas' support:

  • Sisilia (Tanzania): A 13-year-old girl whose school and village now have clean water, allowing her to focus on her education.
  • Monoranjon (Bangladesh): A farmer who learned climate-resilient techniques to protect his crops and home from floods.
  • Manaini (Fiji): A mother who gained food processing and gardening skills to support her children's education.
  • Ahmad (Gaza): A Caritas staff member providing emergency response despite facing displacement himself.

Each classroom has a Project Compassion box that you can donate money in as well as a QR that links directly with St Anne’s own fundraising page! You can also access our page here - www.projectcompassion.org.au/fundraiser/stannesprimaryschoolsunbury

We will be collecting donations until the end of term. Many thanks.
