Ms Brea Terris

Dear Families,
As the year comes to a close, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to our entire school community.
To our families and parents, thank you for your continued support, trust, and partnership throughout 2025.
To our students, it has been a joy to watch you learn, grow, and achieve throughout the year. Your motivation, kindness, respect and resilience make our school a wonderful place to be each day.
To our dedicated staff, thank you for your commitment and care in supporting every child to reach their potential.
Farewells
As we farewell Paige Warburton, Vanessa Maduka, Tahni Smith and Bridgette King from SHNPS, we would like to sincerely thank each of you for the valuable contribution you have made to our school community.
Paige is heading to Woorinen District Primary School, and we wish her every success as she continues her teaching journey in a new school community for 2026. Vanessa will be joining Nyah District Primary School, and we know she will bring the same dedication and care that she has shown during her time at SHNPS.
Congratulations to Bridgette, who has recently been married and is about to embark on an exciting adventure travelling around Australia — what a wonderful way to begin this next chapter. We also wish Tahni all the very best as she heads to Geelong to begin her own new adventures.
Each of you has made a meaningful impact on our students, staff and families, and you will be greatly missed. While it is always hard to say goodbye, we are excited for what lies ahead for you for 2026.
Book Pack Delivery and Office Opening hours
Many families have purchased book packs through Campion. The school office will re-open on Tuesday 27 January and parents/carers are welcome to drop off book packs on Tuesday and Wednesday prior to the start of the school year. The office will be open on these days between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.
Students are also very welcome to bring their book packs on the first day of school; however, this option may support some families in getting organised ahead of time.
First Day of School
The first day back at school for students in Year1 -6 will Thursday 29th January, with our new Foundation students starting 2nd February.

2026 Enrolments
If you know of any families who would like a tour of the school, please encourage them to contact the office.
Thank you to our families who are getting the good word out in the community about our school. 'Word of mouth' is the most powerful form of advertising and consequently, we are fielding many enquiries about our school.
Duty of Care
Families are reminded that teachers are on duty before school from 8.30am-8.50am and after school from 3.20pm until 3.30pm. Children should not be unattended in the school grounds before or after these times. Thank you for your support and co-operation with this.
As we farewell 2025, I wish all families a safe, restful, and happy holiday season.
Enjoy a well-earned break with your loved ones. I look forward to working together again as we continue to build a strong and supportive school community. 2026 is shaping up to be an exciting year for SHNPS!
Kind Regards
Brea
