November is dedicated to the Faithful Departed, those who have gone before us marked with the sign of faith, awaiting the glory of the Resurrection.
All Saints Day is a time to honour and remember all the saints who lived lives of faith and holiness. It reminds us that we are all called to be saints by following Jesus’ example through love, kindness and service to others. The day encourages us to be inspired by the courage and devotion of those who came before us. It is a celebration of the unity of all God’s people, both in heaven and on earth.

November 2nd is All Souls Day. On this day, many people celebrate their loved ones who

have passed away in various ways. This could mean visiting the cemetery, lighting a candle at mass in honour of them or cooking a meal that creates a memory of that special someone. To honour and remember all the special people who have left us, we will be having a candlelight procession on Monday 2nd of November at 5:30 pm, commencing in the St Francis Xavier Church. We will begin with Adoration of the Eucharist followed by our All souls day prayer and procession at 6:00pm. You are invited to pause and take a moment of silence for the departed.
Throughout this term, grade masses will be taking place at 9:15am. These masses are prepared and organised by classroom teachers. Parents and parishioners are welcome to attend these celebrations and join us in prayer.
Please see the grade masses below:

The Celebration of Christ the King, officially called the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe, is a special feast in the Catholic Church that celebrates Jesus as the King of all creation and the ruler of our hearts and lives. It is celebrated on the last Sunday of the liturgical year, just before the season of Advent begins. It reminds us of Jesus as our king not of wealth or earthly possessions but is a king of love, mercy and sacrifice who's reign lives on within the Church today.
Sydney’s annual Eucharistic Procession, Walk with Christ, will be held on the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe.
This public witness and act of worship is a continuation of the Eucharistic celebration allowing the faithful to publicly profess their faith in the Most Blessed Sacrament.
When: 22 November with a festival at 1:00pm at Martin Place
The procession begins at 2:30pm from the corner of Martin Place and Pitt Street.
