TheirCare News

Hi parents, guardians, staff, and friends! Welcome to Week 1 of Term 3.

We would like to begin by acknowledging the Traditional Owners of the land, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation, and pay our respect to their Elders, past, present, and emerging.

Welcome to Week 1 of Term 3!

We hope everyone had a wonderful and exciting two-week school holiday break. Our first week was filled with winter-themed activities, and the kids had an amazing time! They went on two fantastic excursions, where they watched the fun movie Elio and enjoyed the thrilling Ultimate Ninja Quest. Both outings were not only exciting but also messy—just the way the kids love it!

Throughout the first week, we also hosted some fantastic in-house activities. The children had the chance to get creative by colouring their own superhero colouring sheets. Later on, they made their own teddy bears by stuffing and decorating them, which was a huge hit. We also kept the kids active with a variety of sports, including Gaga Ball, Down Ball, Cricket, Soccer, and Footy—there was never a dull moment.

In the second week of the holidays, we introduced the children to the world of virtual reality (VR) during an exciting incursion. The kids had a blast experiencing digital gameplay in a whole new way. They also enjoyed making loom bands and beaded creations at different activity stations throughout the week.

To wrap up the holiday program, the children were treated to a magical trip to Disney on Ice. It was an unforgettable experience, with all their Favorite Disney characters coming to life on the ice, and the kids had an amazing time.

We hope everyone is feeling refreshed and ready for Term 3!

This Week’s Theme: Farm Safety Week

This week, we’re focusing on Farm Safety. We have some fun and educational activities planned to help children learn how to stay safe on a farm.

Activities include:

  • Farm Safety Themed Colouring Sheets – children can colour and learn about farm safety at the same time
  • Farm Safety Maze – a fun puzzle that teaches kids how to navigate a safe farm environment
  • Create a Farm Safety Poster – children will design their own posters to spread the message of farm safety
  • "Can You Spot the Hazards on the Farm?" – a fun challenge where kids identify potential dangers on a farm

We’re excited to teach children how to stay safe while having fun with these activities!

Pupil of the Week

POTW is Wesley Hann. Wesley consistently demonstrates kindness toward both his peers and staff members. He is a thoughtful listener and makes a genuine effort to include others during playtime, helping to create a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone. Way to go, Wesley!
