Birthday celebrations!

What a wonderful way to finish off the week with a birthday celebration for Maggie!
Maggie brings joy to Naranga School in her own adventurous way. Her presence and affection provide comfort and support to the students. The students have enjoyed celebrating with Maggie, giving her lots of pats and treats.
Student Projects
International Women’s Day is on March 8th. This year’s theme is "Accelerate Action," with the aim of emphasizing the importance of taking swift and decisive steps to achieve gender equality. It calls for increased momentum in addressing the systemic barriers and biases that women face, both personally and professionally. It is an important opportunity to recognize the achievements of women across our society and within our school community. We are fortunate as a school to experience the expertise and wisdom of women across our staff, parent community, and student body.
This week, the Digital Design senior elective students prepared posters in recognition of the day. Alice and Emily also thoughtfully made ribbon pins and delivered them to staff members. Please see their article in this week’s newsletter. Thank you, Alice and Emily!
It is fantastic to see the students preparing for our yearly athletics carnival. The SWPBS team has been delivering house-colored t-shirts in preparation for the day. Please save the date—we look forward to seeing family and friends cheering on the students!
This week, we have seen some developments with the Naranga building project.
The team has had a busy week planting vegetation in the new playground. Mr. Bacon was very excited to see the relocation of three large trees into the play space, which will add some much-needed shade to the area.
Happy long weekend.
