Junior School

Mr Tom Nash, Head of Junior School

The first semester for Junior School students at St Patrick's College has been incredibly fulfilling. The Year 7 students have impressed us with their seamless transition from Primary School, adapting exceptionally well to life at St Pat's.

They are to be commended for their positive attitude and eagerness to learn. The Year 8 students have excelled as role models, guiding and supporting their younger peers throughout the term.

Highlights through the first semester have included the memorable Year 7 and Year 8 Camps, Edmund Rice Day celebrations, and seeing many of our students engage in co-curricular activities such as the School of Rock production and the BAS Year 7/8 Football competition.

Most notably though, the greatest highlight is one that occurs each day — the interaction between our dedicated staff and enthusiastic students in the classroom. Interactions that have been marked by mutual respect and enjoyment of learning.

I offer my congratulations to all students on a productive first semester and we wish them a joyful holiday break. We eagerly anticipate welcoming everyone back in Term 3, refreshed and ready to continue their educational journey with renewed vigor.

A heartfelt thank you goes to the exceptional staff at St Patrick's for their unwavering care and support of our students and their learning.

Close to 50 students completed a nomination to be a Homeroom Leader in Semester 2. Well done to those who threw their hat in the ring – it is greatly appreciated and your willingness to support your Homeroom is respected. Leaders will be announced in the first week of Term 3.
