The Summit Camp (Trafalgar) is a well-known outdoor adventure camp in Gippsland, about 90 minutes east of Melbourne.
During our stay at the summit camp, students were immersed in a wide variety of exciting and challenging activities designed to push them beyond their comfort zones. These included adrenaline-filled experiences such as the High Wire, Leap of Faith, Sky Bridge, Rock Wall climbing, and abseiling, all of which tested their courage, balance, and determination. Students also embraced more unique challenges, including a very messy mud run and even the unusual experience of walking on nails. Adding to the adventure, they attended a small reptile show, where they had the opportunity to learn about and interact with different animals.
Throughout the camp, students were divided into groups, allowing them to build new friendships and strengthen existing ones. Within these groups, they participated in a range of team-building activities that required communication, cooperation, and trust. These shared experiences not only encouraged personal growth and resilience but also created lasting memories and a strong sense of camaraderie among the students.
