Term 2

Term 2 Highlights

It has been a busy and rewarding term for students in 9/10 with many opportunities to learn, connect, and contribute to our school community.

As part of our Discovery Unit on Mental Health and Wellbeing, students explored the importance of maintaining positive wellbeing and developed their understanding of the Big 5 wellbeing strategies. To conclude the unit, students participated in a range of meaningful experiences, including a visit to the Science Gallery exhibition focusing on distraction and attention, which encouraged students to think critically about how technology and environmental factors can influence focus and wellbeing.

During Education Week, families joined us for a special Parent Morning Tea in the classroom. It was wonderful to welcome parents and carers into our learning space and share some of the fantastic work students have been completing throughout the semester.

Students also participated in the Siren and Smile Incursion, which provided engaging opportunities to learn about personal wellbeing, resilience, and positive social connections.

To celebrate the completion of the Discovery Unit, students chose projects that would allow them to give back to the community. Some students volunteered their time supporting staff and students at the Lower Primary Campus, while others organised a clothing donation drive to support people in need. We are incredibly proud of the care, empathy, and initiative students demonstrated through these projects.

We would also like to recognise the outstanding achievements of our students in sport. Congratulations to Callum Ragazzon and Lukas Von Der Lippe, who proudly represented the school at the Banyule Division Cross Country Championships. We also congratulate Jessica C., Grace, Yuann, Adam, Cassidy, Lachlan, and Jessica M., who collected numerous ribbons at the Banyule Track and Field Championships. Their commitment, determination, and sportsmanship are commendable.

We are incredibly proud of all students in 9/10E for their enthusiasm, resilience, and willingness to challenge themselves throughout the semester. We look forward to another exciting term of learning and growth.
