Dear Parents,
Congratulations to Will Skein who attended the NSW PSSA Tennis Championships in Parramatta last week. Will represented the Western Region, which came up against some very tough opponents throughout the championships. Will had a couple of singles wins and displayed great sportsmanship within the competition, and the western team. Well done, Will- we are super proud!
Congratulations to our children who attended the Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking competition workshop and speeches on Tuesday. We were very fortunate to have Miss Ivory and three Bathurst High Campus students (including two ex-BPS students, Alisha Cianfrano and Koen Forrest) attend to deliver the workshop and judge the speeches. Congratulations to our Stage 3 winners, Adeline Hunter and Maryam Wally, and our Stage 2 winners, Charlie Seager and Jett Brennan. These children will now attend the Bathurst District Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking competition at Bathurst West PS on Wednesday 24th June. Thank you to Ms Roberts for her coordination of the workshop and this opportunity at Bathurst PS.
Congratulations and well done to our Rugby League Team who played on Tuesday as part of the NRL PSSA Knockout Competition. Our team played Oberon PS in a hard fought battle, with Oberon winning the game by 2 points. Well done to our Rugby League Team, Mrs Goninan and Mr Coombes on a great day of rugby league.

Breakfast and Lunch Club – Breakfast Club operates every school day from 8.30am-8.55am from the room under the Lambert Street Hall in the Kinder quad. School staff assist in preparing breakfast for any child who would like breakfast when they arrive at school. Lunch Club in Term 2 will operate from the Executive Office with sandwiches, and sometimes cheese toasties, made available to those children requiring lunch. Unfortunately, we do not have the staffing resources to make noodles in Term 2, so children will be unable to ask for these to be prepared for lunch. Donations of items such as margarine, bread, spread (Vegemite, honey and jam), fruit, poppers, juice, cereal and cheese are always welcome to support breakfast and lunch club.
Supporting Regular School Attendance
Regular attendance has countless benefits for your child’s learning and development. Parents play an important role in ensuring students get to school and stay in school every Being absent, late or leaving early
- If your child misses school for any reason, please contact the school within 7 days to explain why.
- If your child needs to arrive late or leave early, please notify the school.
- If you have difficulty getting your child to school on time every day, please also contact your school. School staff are here to support you and your child to help them come to school.
Attendance Snapshot
Our Attendance Rate has improved from last week, and so too has the percentage of students attending at least 90% of the time, from 66.2% to 77.6%. Hopefully, we will see this continue to improve over the upcoming weeks.
Class Data
Congratulations, 3/4M, who now have the highest average attendance percentage this term. And, 2/3F and K-2R for no unexplained absences! Well done to those classes!⭐
